Annual Asbestos Notifcation

Annual Asbestos Notification, as required by AHERA regulations:
In 2020, Cumberland Analytical of Carlisle was retained to conduct the School Districts three year inspection in accordance with Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA). Friable and non-friable asbestos were identified in areas of Northside Elementary. No asbestos as defined under the AHERA regulations was identified in Forge Elementary, Pine Street Elementary, Lingle Avenue Elementary, Palmyra High School, Palmyra Middle School or the Maintenance Buildings.
Inspections of known asbestos containing materials are conducted by Cumberland Analytical in accordance with AHERA regulations. The results of the inspection and any response actions are incorporated into the District's Operations and Maintenance Program.
The District's Asbestos Operations and Maintenance Plans are available for review in the Maintenance Department Office. Any questions concerning the District's Asbestos program should be directed to Cumberland Analytical, the District's contracted asbestos and indoor air quality engineer coordinator.
