Hello! My name is Jason Koch. I teach fifth-grade at Lingle Avenue Elementary School.

I am originally from the Danville/Bloomsburg area, which is about an hour and a half north of Palmyra. I earned my bachelor’s degree from Penn State University and my master’s degree from Wilkes University.  I have been a teacher for 24 years. I taught fifth grade for 11 years at Thomas Holtzman, Jr. Elementary School in the Susquehanna Township School District. Prior to that I taught for six years in the Upper Dauphin Area School District. While there, I taught one year of third grade and five years of fifth grade. I have also coached soccer, basketball, and track.

My wife, Tara, and I have three children named Brady, Ava, and Drew. We also have a Goldendoodle named Lucy, a Golden retriever named Isla, and a Ragdoll cat named Ollie.

Some of my favorite activities include swimming, running 5K's and 10K's, going to the beach, going to concerts, playing sports, reading, going for walks, having movie nights, and doing house remodeling projects. Also, I’m a huge Star Wars fan and love the Phillies, Dolphins, and everything Penn State!

I believe that the Palmyra Area School District has such a positive learning environment and is rich with opportunities.  I am thrilled to be in my fifth year in the Palmyra Area School District and look forward to working with you!
