Hi! My name is Ms. Mateja and this is my first full school year working at Palmyra Area Middle School. I currently teach 6th and 7th grade Physical Education and 8th grade Health.

I am orginally from Long Island, New York. I graduated East Stroudsburg University in 2012 where I received a Bachelor's in Health & Physical Education. Completed my Masters in Sport Management at  St. John's University in Queens, New York in 2015.

That prompted me to come back to Pennsylvania where I now have been teaching for 7 years at the middle school level and love it. I am a former Varsity head girls soccer coach in my former district at the high school and middle school levels. I'm always looking to help recruit young student athletes for our different teams here.
