MS Spelling Bee

On December 1st, the Palmyra Area Middle School hosted the PAMS Oral Spelling Bee. After several rounds of spelling words, like incontrovertible, sackbuts and hurdy-gurdy, Ellesyn Sivik (6th grade) became the Spelling Bee Champion! Claire Wee (7th grade) placed second, Sophie Cunningham (6th grade) placed third and Peyton Bergeron (8th grade), placed fourth. These top four spellers then competed in the WITF Written Bee last week. This consisted of approximately 200 spellers from the Central PA area.

Please congratulate Peyton Bergeron and Sophia Cunningham for qualifying for the WITF Grand Championship Oral Spelling Bee on March 18th. They will compete with 36 spellers, and that champion will travel to the Scripps National Spelling Bee this spring!
